From our head office staff to the centre staff at our adventure camps, we have the most dedicated, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and experienced staff who will look after you with a view to making your family adventure holiday very special. As we are also a school and youth group operator, rest assured that we have all the necessary accreditations for our activities meaning that we have very high safety and quality standards. Our centres and our policies and procedures are regularly inspected by internal and external auditors.
What’s more, Acorn Adventure is a founder member of the School Travel Forum (STF) and a Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge (LOtC) and Adventuremark holder. Our substantial bonds with the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA ATOL) demonstrate our strength and stability, and this guarantees our customers’ financial security.
We are proud to set our safety standards at the highest level and we never compromise. Due to our stringent standards of safety, we seek accreditations through the British Canoe Union (BCU), Royal Yachting Association (RYA), The Adventure Activities Licensing Service (AALS) for those centres where activities fall within the remit of the Adventure Activities Licensing Regulations, The School Travel Forum (STF), Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) and Adventuremark. We have carefully selected these accreditations because they are the most recognised and reputable in the industry. All of our camps are regularly assessed by qualified external auditors, as well as our own internal Technical Advisors, ensuring we are always working to the highest safety standards. The vast majority of Local Authorities have already pre-approved our trips for schools and youth groups because of our standards and accreditations.
