Explore Delhi with all its history and cultural diversity then head up to the foothills of the Himalayas to trek through the jungle and along mountain trails. Learn mountain craft and survival skills then relax on the golden sand banks of the Ganges. The Himalayan Adventure encompasses the perfect mix of sightseeing, exhilarating outdoor activities and periods of relaxation to cover most family interests.

Below is a two week itinerary in India at Easter.

Sun 1st Apr - Overnight flight
Mon 2nd Apr - Arrive Delhi
- Transfer to Delhi accommodation then lunch
- Familiarisation, then sightseeing in New Delhi including India Gate, Dilli Haat Craft Market and Ghandi's house
Tue 3rd Apr - Early morning train to Agra
- Arrive Agra. Visit the Taj Mahal, local markets and marble factory
- Return train to Delhi in the evening
Wed 4th Apr - Breakfast, further familiarisation, and safety test
- Visit Old Delhi; Ghandi Chowk, Father Ravi's Shelter & Dr Akilesh's clinic
- After dinner train leaves New Delhi Railway Station to Kathgodam
Thurs 5th Apr - Train arrives at Kathgodam to be met by iDiscover sumo cars
- Drive to Sitlakhet
- Arrive at Sitlakhet. Introductions, lunch & visit local temples and schools
Fri 6th Apr - Day of activities at Sitlakhet includes trekking, survival skills, visiting local farms and villages
Sat 7th Apr - Day of activities at Sitlakhet
Sun 8th Apr - After lunch leave Sitlakhet for Ramnagar
- Overnight train to Haridwar
Mon 9th Apr - Train arrives Haridwar. Drive to Shivpuri
- Arrive at Shivpuri. Introductions and lunch
- Kayaking and white water rafting
Tue 10th Apr - Day of activities at Shivpuri including water and beach activities, trekking and visting local towns and schools
Wed 11th Apr - Day of activities at Shivpuri
- Visit Rishikesh in the evening for the holy festival Aarti
Thurs 12th Apr - Day of activities at Shivpuri
- After dinner, transfer to Haridwar Railway Station
- Overnight train to Delhi
Fri 13th Apr - Arrive Delhi. Transfer to accommodation
- Day in Delhi - TBA
Sat 14th Apr - Check in IGI (Delhi) airport
- Return flight to London

What is the food actually like?

We always receive great reports about our food - even from fussy children! In general the meals are as follows: a continental breakfast, a light buffet style or packed lunch, followed by a two/three course home cooked meal for dinner. Special dietary requirements are, of course, catered for.
