As one of the oldest resorts in France, Montgenèvre retains the personal feel of a small village whilst allowing easy access to the mighty Milky Way ski area just over the border in Italy. The town became fashionable in the 1930s and has remained traditional and pretty, even as the skiing has expanded. It has an authentic mountain community and convivial atmosphere with its little bars, shops and restaurants serving traditional French food.
The main ski area is easily accessible from within the heart of the village, offering stunning scenery and an excellent snow record. This is an excellent resort in which to learn to ski, with plenty of gentle slopes available. Beginners quickly progress from the sunny nursery area to the long blue runs, allowing them to discover the sport amidst breathtaking scenery. The local ski school has gained an enviable reputation for patient encouragement from English-speaking instructors.
Experts and intermediates will be in skiing heaven with steeps to rival any in France and endless off-piste opportunities. Intermediate skiers keen to progress can take advantage of the long cruising blue and red runs and the more adventurous black runs. Montgenèvre offers some testing mogul runs and wonderful off-piste opportunities around the Rocher de l’Aigle for the more enthusiastic skier.

Why go by coach?

We understand that travelling as a family can sometimes be stressful so we take the stress away by organising your travel. It means no hassle of having to arrive 3hrs earlier at the airport, it's perfect for children and removes the extra trouble of excess baggage or lugging suitcasses around the airport.
We provide a comfortable coach which stays with you for the duration of your holiday. The coach can transport you to and from the UK,slopes and excursion locations if required.
We make travelling fun - as an added bonus, a lovely sense of camaraderie among our families always starts to form during the journey and kids would be best of friends by the time they get to the resort
Meeting the coach
We arrange several convenient pick up points which will start from the north of England or Scotland and then follow a main route south to Dover. We choose the best route to suit all families going to a particular resort. Pick up points are often transport terminals such as coach and train stations, motorway services and, finally, Dover Docks.
All ferry crossings, taxes and road tolls are, of course, included in the price of your holiday. If you are considering travelling by coach but are worried about where to meet the coach or how long the journey would be, please call us so we can advise you on the best choice for you.
